Frequently asked questions

DOA & Shipping

Follow the DOA policy immediately: take clear photos of the unopened bag and contents, report within the stated timeframe, and include your order number. Late claims or opened-bag claims may not be covered.

Orders

Livestock is usually dispatched Monday to Wednesday so parcels do not sit in courier depots over the weekend. During extreme heat, cold snaps, or courier disruption we may delay dispatch for welfare.

Customer-side cancellation is available until an order has been dispatched. Once a parcel has entered the courier network, cancellation is normally no longer available from the account area.

No. Smaller livestock selections are often mixed naturally and cannot be sexed or balanced precisely. Larger groups may trend toward a broader mix, but sex ratio is never guaranteed.

Plants & Products

Yes. Even carefully prepared plants can occasionally carry harmless snails, biofilm organisms, or traces of natural debris. Quarantining new additions is always sensible.

Shrimp Care

Sometimes, but we recommend a conservative approach. Even peaceful fish may eat shrimplets, and some fish may harass adults during moulting. Compatibility guidance should be treated as informed advice rather than a guarantee.

Yes. Shrimp usually do better in a mature aquarium with stable parameters, established biofilm, and no recent cycling instability. Newly set up tanks are a common cause of losses.

Water Parameters

They help hobbyists keep shrimp conditions stable for moulting, osmoregulation, and long-term health. Stable values are often more important than chasing a single perfect number.

It is usually better not to. They often thrive in different target parameters, and keeping one compromise setup can make long-term success less predictable.
